The mask is broken which shows that Batman has been defeated and his identity is at risk. It's raining in the poster which could be a metaphor for Batman falling. Bane is walking away from the mask which shows that he has done what he aimed to do. Just from looking at the poster we think that Bane has defeated Batman. Bane is standing tall and strong which shows he is a very powerful villain. Light is revealing Batman's mask and Bane and showing us good and evil. AS Film Opening

Some good ideas Ben. You understand the message and ideology of the poster. I would like to see even more focus on the semiotics - the colour especially.
